陽極為鋁，陰極為電解液的電容，其正式名稱是鋁電解電容器，因為有液態(tài)存在，所以被稱為“液態(tài)”電容。

　　理論上，或非商品的鋁電解電容并不需要額外的負(fù)極板，只要將負(fù)極引線插入電解液就行了。但作為實(shí)際產(chǎn)品，加一層鋁箔作為電解液的引導(dǎo)，方面鏈接，因為也是與正極板類似的鋁箔，所以常被誤解為負(fù)極板。

　　電解液電容也有其不足處：

　　首先是在高溫環(huán)境下容易揮發(fā)、滲漏、對壽命和穩(wěn)定性影響很大，在高溫高壓下的電解液還有可能瞬間汽化，體積增大引起爆炸；

　　其次是電解液所采用的離子導(dǎo)電法其導(dǎo)電率很低，只有0.01S/CM（電導(dǎo)率，歐姆的倒數(shù)），這造成電容的ESR值（等效串聯(lián)電阻、阻抗）特別高。

　　Secondly, the ionic conductivity method used in the electrolyte is very low, only 0.01s/cm (the reciprocal of conductivity and Ohm), which makes the ESR value of capacitance (equivalent series resistance and impedance) extremely high.
